Access

Easy. An easy 40-minute drive from Arusha. Approximately 60 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Characteristic

137 km2, Mt. Meru massif and rolling upland plateau in the altitude of 1 525 – 4 565 m. Typical ecosystems: mountainous and alpine ecosystems, volcanic bitopes, dry evergreen forest (lower altitude), mountain forest (temperate zone forest) in higher altitude, wetlands, savannas, seven alkaline lakes with changeable water colour depending on various algae composition.
