Localization
Central Sulawesi, 50 km south of the town of Palu
Access
Moderately difficult. The easiest access is from Palu to Kamarora (50 kilometers in 2.5 hours drive).
Characteristic
2,290 km2; Large mountainous area of rugged terrain with altitude ranging from 200 to 2,610 meters above sea level. The western boundary is formed by a series of narrow valleys, known collectively as the Kulawi Valley. The Palolo, Napu, Lindu and Besoa Valleys were once lakes, now partially filled with sediment. Lake Lindu (Danau Lindu) is the only large lake remaining today. Lying in the height of 1200 m, its area is 3150 hectares, has a maximum depth about 100 m. Typical ecosystems: tropical rain forest, mountain rain forest, cloud forest, mountains lower than 4000 m, freshwater ecosystems (lake, rivers).

Possible activities
Jungle trekking of various length and difficulty. There is a large network of trails through the park. Mountain climbing.
Canoeing, rafting, horse-back riding.

Included into the World Network of Biosphere Reserves from 1978 Called "Man and Biosphere".
More than 400 megaliths of uncertain origin dating from before 1300 AD varying in size from just a few centimeters to 4.5 meters tall.
