Localization

Southeast Sri Lanka; 261 km south east from Colombo

Access

Easy, along the road from Tissamaharama in the Southern province or via Kalawana in the Sabaragamuwa province.

Characteristic

235 km²; Flat lowland area. The elevation of the park is about 90 meters above sea level. Typical ecosystems: dry evergreen forest, large artificial water reservoir, grasslands. Park territory serves as a natural corridor between Yala and Uda Walawe National Parks.
