Access

Easy. The park main entrance lies 2 kilometres from Tinquilco Lake on Kilometre 20 of the road from Temuco via Pucón to Caburga Lake.

Characteristic

125 km2; Pre-Andean mountainous region - elevation range from 720 to 2,000 m (Araucano summit). One of the most noteworthy features of Huerquehue National Park are its ancient Araucaria forests. Typical ecosystems: Valdivian temperate rainforest, freshwater ecosystems (streams, lagoons and lakes).
