1432 km2; Part of a separated mountain chain with steep slope hills. Altitude 60 - 734 m above sea level. The largest preserved lowland rain forest area in Sumatra. Typical ecosystems: lowland tropical rain forest, cloud forest, freshwater ecosystems, swamps.

Name of "Tigapuluh" means 30 hills in translation.
Best time to visit: III-VII
Every visitor must have a valid entrance permit and must be escorted by an official guide.
